The Telangana Government has released Rs 2,000 crore in the first phase of employee dues, clearing retired employees' GPF dues and commutation dues pending up to May 2025.

The Telangana Government has taken a major step towards fulfilling its promise to government employees by releasing Rs 2,000 crore in the first phase of pending dues. The move comes in line with the assurance given by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka to employee JAC leaders that Rs 6,000 crore worth of long-pending dues would be released within 100 days.

Acting on the instructions of Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, Finance Department Special Chief Secretary Sandeep Kumar Sultania on Friday issued orders releasing the first installment of Rs 2,000 crore.

  • All commutation dues pending up to May 2025 for retired employees have been fully paid.

The government stated that these payments have brought relief to retired employees who had been awaiting the settlement of their dues.

Officials indicated that efforts are underway to ensure that the remaining amount is released within the committed deadline.

Employee and Pensioner Organizations Welcome the Decision

The government’s decision has been welcomed by employee union leaders and retired employees.
