Hyderabad: Young Indian taekwondo athlete Armaan Nazeemuddin has brought pride to the nation by winning a gold medal at the prestigious 12th Tirak International Taekwondo Tournament 2026 held in Bangkok, Thailand.
The tournament, conducted at the Fashion Island Hall in Bangkok, featured talented competitors from several countries. Armaan delivered an outstanding performance in the Kyorugi (Sparring) event, showcasing exceptional skill, discipline, determination, and sportsmanship throughout the competition.
Competing in the Cadet (12–14 years) category, Class-B Division, in the 41–45 kg weight class, Armaan emerged victorious against strong international opponents to secure the gold medal. His tactical brilliance and consistent performance earned him the top position on the podium.

A student of Class 8 at Sri Chaitanya Techno School, Armaan trains professionally at Kavitha Taekwondo Academy. Despite his young age, he has already achieved a significant milestone by earning a Black Belt Dan-2 certification from Kukkiwon, South Korea, the world headquarters of Taekwondo.
