HYDERABAD: Balapur Police arrested a notorious house burglary offender identified as Mohammed Saleem @ Sunil Shetty @ Ibrahim @ Setty Saleem, son of Late Mohammed Jahangir, aged 52 years, belonging to the Muslim community, working as a wall painter and residing at Aline Colony, Shaheen Nagar, Balapur, Hyderabad.

According to police, the accused was involved in multiple night house burglary (HB) offences. Balapur Police arrested him and recovered 62 grams of gold ornaments and 270 grams of silver ornaments from his possession. The accused is also reported to have been involved in 78 property cases in various police stations.
Burglary Cases Registered in Balapur Police Station Limits
Police stated that Mohammed Saleem allegedly committed night house burglaries in the following areas under the limits of Balapur Police Station:
- Venkatapur Village
- Alain Hills
- Wade-E-Musthafa
The accused was allegedly involved in night house burglary offences in these locations.
Cases Reported in Other Police Station Limits
Apart from the offences reported in Balapur Police Station limits, police stated that the accused was also involved in:
- Pahadishareef Police Station – 3 cases
- Meerpet Police Station – 1 case
- Falaknuma Police Station – 1 case
Police said the accused committed night house burglaries in these police station jurisdictions as well.
Accused Linked to 78 Property Cases
According to police records, Mohammed Saleem had previously been involved in 78 property cases registered in various police stations.
Police described him as a notorious house burglary offender with a long criminal history relating to property offences.
Property Recovered from Accused
During the operation, police recovered the following property from the possession of the accused:
- 62 grams of gold ornaments
- 270 grams of silver ornaments
The recovered property was seized by the police as part of the case proceedings.
Balapur Police arrested Mohammed Saleem @ Sunil Shetty @ Ibrahim @ Setty Saleem (52), a resident of Aline Colony, Shaheen Nagar, Balapur, Hyderabad, in connection with multiple night house burglary cases. Police stated that the accused committed burglaries in Venkatapur Village, Alain Hills, Wade-E-Musthafa, and was also involved in cases under Pahadishareef, Meerpet, and Falaknuma Police Stations. According to police, he was previously involved in 78 property cases. During the arrest, police recovered 62 grams of gold ornaments and 270 grams of silver ornaments from his possession. The accused has been arrested and further legal proceedings are underway.
