Section 163 BNSS Invoked for NEET UG 2026
According to the order issued by the Cyberabad Police Commissionerate, the following restrictions will be in force on June 21:
- Gathering of five or more persons prohibited.
- Restriction applicable within a 200-metre radius of all NEET (UG)-2026 examination centres.
- Restrictions effective from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
The orders have been issued under Section 163 BNSS to facilitate the smooth conduct of the examination.
Photocopy and Internet Centres to Remain Closed
The police also directed that:
- Photocopy centres within 100 metres of examination venues remain closed.
- Internet centres within 100 metres of examination venues remain closed.
The closures will remain in effect during the examination period.
Police Commissioner M. Ramesh Announces Exemptions
M. Ramesh, Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad, stated that the following categories are exempt from the restrictions:
- Police personnel
- Military staff
- Home Guards
- Education Department flying squads
- Funeral processions
These categories will be allowed to perform their official duties and activities despite the prohibitory orders.
Legal Action for Violations
Authorities cautioned that any violation of the prohibitory orders will result in legal action under relevant laws.
