HYDERABAD: Heavy rainfall in Vijay Nagar Colony near Al-Saba Hotel led to an accident after a tree collapsed and brought down an 11 KV electric pole onto an auto belonging to Khadeer, causing major damage to the vehicle.

At the time of the incident, Khadeer was offering prayers at Masjid-e-Hussaini and escaped unharmed. Immediate action was taken by the DRF team and Electricity Department officials, while power supply remained disrupted for nearly 2–3 hours in parts of Vijay Nagar Colony and Shanti Nagar.
DRF and Electricity Department Respond to Incident
Following the collapse of the tree and electric pole, emergency response teams arrived at the scene to address the situation.
Officials from the DRF team and the Electricity Department worked to clear the affected area and restore normalcy after the accident.
The power outage affected parts of Vijay Nagar Colony and Shanti Nagar for approximately 2–3 hours before electricity was restored.
AIMIM Ex-Corporator Dr. Khasim Speaks on Dangerous Trees
Speaking to the media, Dr. Khasim, AIMIM Ex-Corporator, stated that several old and dangerous trees in the area have already been identified.
According to him, the process of removing such trees is currently underway to prevent similar incidents in the future.
Mohammed Majid Hussain Directed Restoration Efforts
According to the information provided, officials continued their work until electricity was restored under the instructions of Mohammed Majid Hussain.
The restoration process was carried out to ensure that residents affected by the outage received power supply as quickly as possible.

Financial assistance for the damaged auto was provided on the instructions of Asaduddin Owaisi, President of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM).
Authorities stated that repair work on the damaged vehicle has already begun and that the auto is expected to be delivered soon.
