Addressing the gathering, SDPI Telangana Convener Dr. Aleem Khan Falki said there is a significant political vacuum in the state and expressed confidence that the party's entry into Telangana would help address the concerns of marginalized sections of society.

Hyderabad: The Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) officially launched its Telangana unit at a function held at Friends Function Hall, New Hafeezpet, Hyderabad, on Saturday.
Addressing the gathering, SDPI Telangana Convener Dr. Aleem Khan Falki said there is a significant political vacuum in the state and expressed confidence that the party’s entry into Telangana would help address the concerns of marginalized sections of society.
He alleged that existing political parties had failed to fulfil their promises, while religious fanaticism, corruption and exploitation had overshadowed public welfare and development. According to him, despite repeated assurances by successive governments, the country continues to face poverty, unemployment, moral decline and rising crime.
Dr. Falki said that transforming people’s political mindset would take time, but SDPI is committed to promoting social values, creating awareness about citizens’ rights and responsibilities, and working towards a society where every citizen can live with dignity.
He noted that SDPI was founded on June 21, 2009, with its headquarters in New Delhi, to provide a democratic and constitutional political platform for addressing the concerns of minorities, backward communities and other marginalized groups.
Explaining the party’s ideology, he said SDPI is guided by the principles of liberty, equality and justice. He stressed that every citizen should enjoy freedom of religion, language, culture and expression without discrimination based on caste, religion, language or region. He also called for equal opportunities in education and employment, along with social, economic and political justice for all.
Dr. Falki added that the party advocates women’s rights, the welfare of farmers and workers, and the protection of the Constitution and democratic values. He said SDPI aims to build “a just, equal and prosperous India” where every citizen enjoys dignity, equal opportunities and justice.
During the event, the party flag was unfurled in the presence of senior leaders, including National Vice President Mohammed Shafi, National General Secretary Riyaz Farangipete, National Committee Member Shiba Minai, and National Committee Member Hafiz Ataullah Khan, who also addressed the gathering.
The event was held under the theme: “Justice, Equality, Dignity and Democracy.”
