Hyderabad: HYDRAA Commissioner A.V. Ranganath and CMC Commissioner Smt. Srujana on Wednesday inspected the FCI (Fertilizers Corporation of India Employees Cooperative Housing Society) Layout at Gachibowli Junction following complaints from plot owners alleging that Sandhya Sridhar Rao continued construction despite a High Court stay order. Officials said roads, parks and public utility spaces in the layout would be protected and warned that legal action would be taken for any violation of the court’s directions.

HYDRAA Inspects FCI Layout Following Plot Owners’ Complaint

The field inspection was carried out after plot owners complained that Sandhya Sridhar Rao was allegedly continuing construction in the layout without complying with the High Court stay order.

During the inspection, senior officials examined allegations that excavation work and soil filling had been carried out after removing the boundaries of roads and parks within the layout. Officials treated the matter seriously and expressed concern over the continuation of construction despite the existing court stay.

The officials informed plot owners that, according to the approved layout, the roads and parks belong to the Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC). They assured residents that the boundaries would be identified immediately and the public spaces would be protected.

They also stated that action would be initiated against Sandhya Sridhar Rao for allegedly undertaking construction despite the stay order.

Speaking on the occasion, HYDRAA Commissioner A.V. Ranganath recalled that several plot owners had earlier submitted complaints through the HYDRAA Prajavani grievance platform alleging that Sandhya Convention owner Sridhar Rao had altered the original identity of the layout.

According to the Commissioner, the layout was developed in the 1980s over an extent of 20 acres with 162 plots.

He stated that HYDRAA had earlier protected the layout’s roads, parks and land earmarked for public purposes. Subsequently, the matter reached the High Court, which granted a stay order.

The Commissioner said the court order clearly states that no construction should be undertaken in the area. However, based on complaints received from plot owners, Sandhya Sridhar Rao allegedly continued construction, levelled the land, carried out excavations and dumped soil without considering the roads and parks in the layout.
