Asaduddin Owaisi Demands Permanent Residence Certificate, Says Every Genuine Voter Must Be Included in Final SIR Voter List

Hyderabad: AIMIM President Barrister Asaduddin Owaisi on Wednesday said his party is committed to ensuring that every genuine voter’s name is included in both the draft voter list and the final voter list under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process. Speaking to the media after inaugurating development works funded through MPLADS and visiting SIR Help Desks in Yakutpura Assembly constituency under the Hyderabad Parliamentary Constituency, Owaisi warned that if a person’s name does not appear in the final SIR voter list, questions could later be raised about that person’s citizenship. He also urged Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to immediately issue Permanent Residence Certificates.

AIMIM Says Every Genuine Voter Must Be Protected During SIR
Addressing the media after inaugurating development works and inspecting SIR Help Desks, Barrister Asaduddin Owaisi said:
“AIMIM’s effort is to ensure that every genuine voter’s name is included in both the draft voter list and the final voter list.”
He further stated:
“If a name is not included in the final list of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR), then tomorrow questions may be raised about that person’s citizenship.”
Owaisi appealed to Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to immediately issue Permanent Residence Certificates.
Owaisi Inaugurates Two Drinking Water Plants in Yakutpura
As part of the programme, Barrister Asaduddin Owaisi inaugurated two Salar-e-Millat Drinking Water Plants in the Yakutpura Assembly constituency under the Hyderabad Parliamentary Constituency.
The projects were completed using MPLADS Funds at a total cost of ₹32,07,000 (Rs. 32 lakh 7 thousand).
AIMIM Reviews SIR Help Desks
During the visit, Owaisi also inspected various SIR Help Desks established by the AIMIM to assist voters during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process.
He reviewed the assistance being provided to voters and the guidance offered by party workers and volunteers.
According to AIMIM, the Help Desks have been set up to help eligible voters complete the required procedures and ensure that genuine voters are not left out of the electoral rolls.

Revanth Reddy to immediately issue Permanent Residence Certificates. AIMIM said its SIR Help Desks will continue assisting voters throughout the revision process.
