Hyderabad: Senior officials from the Indian Army have approached HYDRAA, alleging that Army land is being encroached upon and unauthorized construction is underway in GLR Survey No. 507 at Qutbullapur Mandal, Medchal-Malkajgiri district. Army Lieutenant Colonel Jai Singh submitted a petition to HYDRAA Commissioner AV Ranganath, requesting immediate action to protect the defence land. After reviewing the complaint, the HYDRAA Commissioner directed officials to conduct a field inspection, verify the alleged encroachment, and take appropriate action.

Army Alleges Encroachment on Defence Land
According to the petition submitted by Lieutenant Colonel Jai Singh, A-1 category Army land located in GLR Survey No. 507 in Qutbullapur Mandal, Medchal-Malkajgiri district is being illegally occupied.
The complaint states that a G+2 building is being constructed after allegedly encroaching on the Army land. It further alleges that the construction does not have any permissions.
The Army requested HYDRAA to immediately stop the construction work and protect the defence land from further encroachment.

HYDRAA Commissioner Orders Field Inspection
After examining the petition, HYDRAA Commissioner AV Ranganath instructed HYDRAA officials to conduct a field-level inspection. He directed them to verify whether the alleged encroachments had taken place and to initiate action only after confirming the facts on the ground.
The matter is currently under verification, and further action will be taken after the field inspection confirms the alleged encroachment.
HYDRAA ACP Also Present During Meeting
When Lieutenant Colonel Jai Singh met HYDRAA Commissioner AV Ranganath, HYDRAA ACP Umamaheshwar Rao was also present.
