Hyderabad: The Kalapathar Police have solved the brutal murder of 17-year-old Faiz Mohammed @ Azaan, a resident of Biryanishah Tekri, Kalapathar, by arresting three accused in connection with the crime. The case was registered as Crime No. 136/2026 under Section 103(1) read with 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Section 25(1-B) of the Arms Act. Police recovered two blood-stained knives, blood-stained clothes, an Activa scooter (AP13 AB 0101), and three mobile phones. The accused have been remanded to judicial custody, and further investigation is underway.

Brutal Attack Over Dispute at Biryanishah Tekri
According to the police, the incident took place on July 19, 2026, at around 2:30 AM.
The accused:
- Mohammed Abrar (A1)
- Mohammed Ismail @ Farhaan (A2)
- Mohammed Ashfaq (A3)
had gone to Biryanishah Tekri in search of another person.
When Faiz Mohammed @ Azaan (17) questioned their presence in the locality, A1 and A2 allegedly attacked him with sharp-edged knives (Kattas), while A3 allegedly assaulted him with fist blows.
The victim sustained multiple grievous injuries and died on the spot.
After the attack, the accused allegedly fled the scene on an Activa scooter.
Scientific Investigation Leads to Arrest
Immediately after the murder, Kalapathar Police launched an intensive investigation.
The investigation team:
- Examined eyewitnesses
- Collected scientific evidence
- Analysed technical clues
- Verified all available leads
Acting on credible information, the police apprehended all three accused on July 27, 2026, near Chandrayangutta.

Weapons and Evidence Recovered
During interrogation, police said the accused confessed to the offence.
Based on their voluntary disclosure, police recovered:
- Two blood-stained knives (Kattas) allegedly used in the murder
- Blood-stained clothes of the accused
- Activa scooter bearing registration number AP13 AB 0101 allegedly used in the commission of the offence
- Three mobile phones
Accused Have Criminal Antecedents
Police said further investigation revealed that all three accused are involved in previous criminal cases.
They were produced before the Hon’ble Court and remanded to judicial custody.
