Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju chaired the Telangana Employees Health Care Trust (TEHCT) meeting at the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Telangana Secretariat.

During the meeting, he directed officials to further strengthen the Trust to provide timely and quality healthcare services to Telangana Government employees, pensioners, and their dependent family members.

He also instructed the Trust to make optimal use of the Health Care Trust Fund for the benefit of its beneficiaries.

Comprehensive Review of Employees Health Scheme

The meeting reviewed:

• Implementation of the Employees Health Scheme
• Healthcare services provided by empanelled hospitals
• Existing treatment package rates
• Issues faced by beneficiaries

The Chief Secretary instructed officials to undertake a comprehensive review of the existing treatment package rates and update them periodically so that employees receive the best possible medical care.

He also stressed that the Health Scheme should be continuously monitored and improved to meet emerging healthcare needs.

To strengthen the administration of the Trust, the meeting decided to constitute:

• An Executive Committee
• Required Sub-Committees

These committees will regularly review:

• Treatment package rates
• Empanelment of hospitals
• Quality of healthcare services
• Financial management

They will also make recommendations to improve the functioning of the Trust.

Special Mechanism for Emergency Medical Assistance

Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju directed officials to establish a dedicated mechanism to provide immediate medical assistance to employees and pensioners requiring emergency treatment.

He emphasized the need for:

• A 24×7 support system
• A fast-track approval process
• Stronger coordination with empanelled hospitals

The objective is to ensure beneficiaries receive timely treatment without delay.
