According to sources, Konda Surekha had sought an appointment with senior Congress leader K.C. Venugopal. She was reportedly asked to come to Delhi for a meeting.

Following the communication from the party leadership, the minister hurriedly left for the national capital. Her Delhi visit has assumed significance amid the ongoing political developments surrounding her and Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy.
