A hijabi girl would one day be the prime minister of India: Owaisi

Hyderabad: Lok Sabha MP and MIM supremo Asaduddin Owaisi on Sunday hoped that a girl wearing a hijab would be the Prime Minister of India one day. His remark came amid the Karnataka hijab row that erupted after a group of Muslim students were barred from entering their college on account of wearing hijabs.

Mr Owaisi during his speech said that if a girl decides to wear hijab, her parents would gladly allow her to do so. Let’s see who will stop Muslim girls from wearing hijab, he asked.

He further reiterated that Muslim girls will wear hijab and go to the colleges. They will become doctor collector, businesswomen, etc. while wearing hijab.

Lok Sabha MP further hoped that a day will come when a hijabi girl would become the prime minister of India.
