Another hijabi girl Lamya Majeed bags 7 gold medals & 2 cash prizes

Mysuru: A native of Mangaluru, Lamya Majeed has been presented seven gold medals and two cash prizes in MSc Botany, at the 102nd convocation of the University of Mysore.

Lamya is aiming to pursue PhD. She wants to do research in a foreign university especially in UK. She has already cleared Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (Gate).

Lamya has been writing competitive exams. She told that she is interested in plant pathology and plant diseases as she wants to help farmers and agriculture.

Father of three daughters, Lamya’s father worked for Bharat Petroleum and is presently retired. Her mother is a home maker. Her two elder sisters have completed engineering.

Mysuru News quoted Lamya as saying ” I was not studious, as most of the classes were conducted online, I enjoyed both online classes and Netflix series simultaneously”.
