Auto plunges off the bridge into river; 4 devotees die


On Wednesday night, a tragic incident occurred on the Andhra Pradesh-Telangana border near the outskirts of Bergampadu mandal in Telangana’s Kothagudem district.

An automobile lost control and plunged off the Kanirasani river bridge, resulting in the loss of four lives. Out of the eight passengers in the vehicle, six sustained severe injuries, and sadly, four of them did not survive. Two others remain in critical condition.

The accident happened while devotees from Tirumala Devipet village in T. Narisapuram mandal, Eluru district, Andhra Pradesh, were returning after visiting the Bhadrachalam Ram temple in Telangana.

The injured individuals were rushed to Bhadrachalam Government Hospital.
Unfortunately, Jatala Durga Rao and Pachipala Srinivasa Rao succumbed while undergoing treatment there.

Additionally, two children also lost their lives while being treated at the government hospital in Bergampadu. The injured individuals, Narasimha Rao, Tirumala Rao, Nirmala, and Anusha, are currently receiving medical attention.

Upon receiving the information, Sergeant Santosh from the Bergampadu Police Station arrived at the scene, arranged for the injured to be taken to the hospital, and filed a case.
