Bandi Bhagirath Says He Will Appear Before SIT on Friday, Sends Email to Pet Basheerabad Police in POCSO Case

Bandi Bhagirath, son of Union Minister of State for Home Bandi Sanjay Kumar, who is accused in a POCSO case, has informed the Pet Basheerabad police through email that he will appear before the Special Investigation Team (SIT) the day after tomorrow. The email was sent after he failed to appear for questioning before the SIT on Wednesday at 2 p.m.

According to SIT notices, Bandi Bhagirath was directed to attend interrogation on Wednesday. However, he did not appear before investigators within the scheduled time.

Bandi Bhagirath Sends Email to Police

Bandi Bhagirath reportedly mailed the Pet Basheerabad Police around three hours after the deadline fixed by the SIT for questioning.

In the email, he stated that he would appear before the SIT on Friday along with full evidence related to the case.

He also informed police that he would cooperate with the SIT in all possible ways during the investigation.

SIT Issued Notice for Wednesday Interrogation

The SIT had issued notices asking Bandi Bhagirath to appear before investigators on Wednesday.

According to the notice:

• Bhagirath was scheduled to appear for questioning at 2 p.m.
• He failed to attend the interrogation within the specified time

Police sources stated that the SIT is continuing its investigation into the POCSO case.
