He suggested the constitution of a committee, comprised of government officials, Bharatiya Kisan Morcha and other farmers’ organizations’ representatives, NGOs etc., so that they can discuss various problems
Hyderabad: Bharatiya Kisan Morcha leader Rakesh Tikait has categorically stated that their agitation will continue to protect the interest of the farmers in the country, inspite of the union government accepting all their demands. He said, the farmers’ problems are the continuous things from time to time and to solve this, a mechanism is necessary so that the farmers can entrust with the government and solve it.
He suggested the constitution of a committee, comprised of government officials, Bharatiya Kisan Morcha and other farmers’ organizations’ representatives, NGOs etc., so that they can discuss various problems which will come from time-to-time and solve the problems of the farmers. He said, the farmers face several problems.
Addressing the gathering of the “Maha Dharna” organized by the frontal organization of CPI on farmers “Rythu Sangam” in Telangana, at Indira Park, Hyderabad today, Rikesh Tikait has praised the farmers of the country, including of Telangana state, for extending their support to their agitation which led to bow the Prime Minister Narendra Modi who has announced to repeal the three farm laws and the Union Cabinet has taken the decision.
Though the Prime Minister made announcement, they are not going to withdraw the agitation, it will continue further, as there is need for having discussion and making law on MSP on 23 products, withdrawing draft of new electricity bill, paying ex-gratia to the dependent of those farmers who have sacrificed their lives. The Telangana government has announced the payment of Rs. 3 lakh to deceased farmers’ families, withdrawing of cases on the agitators, Constitution of Committee etc.
He said, to solve the farmers problem and to teach the lesson to the BJP and the Prime Minister Narendra Modi is to defeat the BJP in the forthcoming assembly elections in 5 states, for which there is need of the Telangana people to stop the BJP agent (obviously referring to MIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi) to limit him in Hyderabad and Telangana, so that he does not come out in the states where the elections are being held.
The Hyderabad leader is going everywhere and helping BJP, referring to the states like Bihar and West Bengal. In West Bengal, the Bharatiya Kisan Morcha has worked hard to defeat BJP there, because of their campaign the BJP could not come to power. He said the Bharatiya Kisan Morcha will campaign against the BJP in the states where the elections are going to be held.
He said, there are 40 farmers’ leaders of different farmers’ associations in the Bharatiya Kisan Morcha. They are united, he said, the BJP government has made several attempts to divide the Morcha and the attempt is continuing, but they are united and will work unitedly for the cause of the farmers.
He said, several attempts were made in the last one year of their struggle; they have been stopped at the roads, that is why they sat on the Delhi roads, took out Rail Roko and lost 750 farmers, he claimed that their agitation was peaceful.
Bharatiya Kisan Morcha struggle committee leaders Hannan Molla, Atul Kumar Anjan, CPI Rythu Sangam Secretary and Convenor of Akhil Bharat Rythu Porata Samyuktha Committee (AIKSCC) Pashya Padma, and convenors T. Sagar, V Kiran and others also spoke.
