Hyderabad: In light of the impending Chandrayaan-3 landing program scheduled for tomorrow, education authorities have issued a set of guidelines to all schools, aiming to ensure the smooth execution of the event while prioritizing students’ safety and educational experience.
Firstly, schools have been directed not to extend school hours or require students to stay beyond their regular schedule to witness the Chandrayaan-3 landing. Instead, children are encouraged to watch the event from the comfort of their own homes, as indicated by the Directorate of School Education (DSE) Madam. This move is intended to prevent unnecessary gatherings of students within the school premises.
For those students who lack the means to watch the event at home, schools have been advised to arrange for them to view the Chandrayaan-3 landing on the following day within the school environment. Residential schools have been specifically instructed to facilitate the viewing of the event within the school premises.
DSE Madam’s instructions also highlight the importance of sparking discussions among students about the national significance of the Chandrayaan-3 landing. After watching the event, children are encouraged to engage in conversations about the event’s importance for the nation.
The instructions emphasize that there should be no deviation from the guidelines provided. Heads of educational institutions have been informed that any deviation will result in them being held responsible.
To further engage students and promote thoughtful reflection, schools are encouraged to organize seminars, speeches, and essay writing sessions on the day following the Chandrayaan-3 landing. Topics for discussion include the national importance of the mission, the students’ emotions and experiences as Indians, and their personal observations while watching the event unfold.
As the countdown to the Chandrayaan-3 landing continues, schools are actively working to ensure that this monumental event is not only a moment of national pride but also an educational opportunity that fosters a sense of wonder and curiosity among students.
Earlier, the Director of School Education had directed District Educational Officers (DEO) in Telangana to make arrangements for special assembly of students and teachers in all schools from 5.30 pm to 6.30 pm on Wednesday, August 23 to watch the special live programme of Chandrayaan-3 mission landing on moon on T-SAT Vidya and Nipuna channels, TSAT mobile app and TSAT television. However the directive has been later withdrawn.
