Can’t stop from offering namaz at home: Asaduddin Owaisi
According to the Supreme Court, we can offer prayers anywhere. We cannot be stopped from offering prayers at home.
Hyderabad: Majlis Ittehad-e-Muslimeen Supremo and Member of Parliament Hyderabad Asaduddin Owaisi said that according to the Supreme Court, we can offer prayers anywhere. We cannot be stopped from offering prayers at home.
Meanwhile, cancelling the case it registered over a “mass gathering to offer namaz” at a house “without prior permission”, the Uttar Pradesh Police said that investigation found no such thing having taken place.
The FIR was registered on August 24 against 26 Muslims at Dulhepur village in Uttar Pradesh’s Moradabad district. Booking the namazis under Indian Penal Code’s Section 505-2 (mischievous statements in a gathering performing religious worship), police claimed “objections from neighbours”.
The village does not have a mosque hence Muslims have been offering congregational prayers inside homes.
The Karnataka government’s decision to ban beef trade is against the orders of the Supreme Court.3 Mr Owaisi called the suspension of the controversial Member of Parliament Raja Singh from the BJP as a drama. Raja Singh is lodged in Cherlapally Jail under the PD Act.
Accusing the saffron party of trying to release Raja Singh, Asaduddin Owaisi said that Raja Singh was sent to jail only because of the presence of the TRS government in the state, while Nupur Sharma could not be sent to jail in Delhi only because the police headquarters there is under BJP’s control.
Instead of sending Nupur Sharma to jail, the BJP government is giving her protection. He demanded the dismissal of Raja Singh’s membership in the Assembly. He described the Jharkhand incident as the worst example of animal cruelty.
Just holding the tricolor does not show patriotism, proof of love for India can be shown in many ways. No single act can prove patriotism.
