CM Revanth Reddy Signs Landmark Pact with Japan to Boost Telangana’s Sustainable Growth

MoU Signed for Collaboration in Environment and Waste Management

During the meeting, the Telangana government signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the presence of the Chief Minister for cooperation with Kitakyushu in sectors such as environmental protection, waste management, and recycling. This initiative follows CM Revanth Reddy’s visit to Japan in April, where he explored eco-friendly urban models and held discussions with Mayor Takeuchi.


Kitakyushu Eco-Town Model to Inspire Hyderabad’s Urban Planning

Welcoming the Japanese delegation, the Chief Minister stated:
“During my Japan visit, I was highly inspired by Kitakyushu’s Eco-Town model. This inspiration led us to sign several MoUs with companies to replicate a similar model in Hyderabad. This collaboration will lay the foundation for Telangana’s goals in circular economy, zero emissions, and urban innovation.”


Focus on Musi River Revival and Youth Skill Development

The CM further said the government is committed to reviving the Musi River and prioritizing skill development among Telangana’s youth. He expressed hope that students would begin learning the Japanese language to explore job opportunities in Japan. With support from the Japanese delegation, the state aims to facilitate language training for aspiring youth.


Direct Air Connectivity Between Hyderabad and Kitakyushu Proposed

Revanth Reddy announced that efforts are underway to establish direct air connectivity between Hyderabad and Kitakyushu, enhancing trade and cultural exchange. He praised the leadership of Kitakyushu and said the city’s development aligns well with Telangana’s vision under “Telangana Rising 2047.”


Delegates and Officials Participate in Bilateral Meeting

The meeting was attended by several public representatives, the Chief Secretary of Telangana, and other top government officials. The CM concluded by expressing his desire for a long-lasting friendship between Telangana and Kitakyushu.
