Couple in love commits suicide in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: A couple in love allegedly committed suicide in their friend’s room in KPHB Colony, here on Monday.

According to the police, the deceased have been identified as Syam (24) and Jyothi (22), who hailed from Gollavanitippa village, Bhimavar, West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh. They had been in a relationship for quite some time.

Jyothi had been staying in a private hostel in the KPHB area for the past 20 days, while Syam recently joined his friend Krishna’s room within the same locality.

Three days ago, Syam obtained the room keys from Krishna, who was leaving for his hometown. Syam and Jyothi moved into Krishna’s room. On Monday, a foul odor coming from the room caught someone’s attention, prompting them to inform the police.

Subsequently, the police forcibly entered the room and discovered Krishna hanging from the ceiling, while Jyothi’s lifeless body was found on the floor, suggesting she had consumed poison.

The police have registered a case, and an investigation is currently underway.
