Danish Azad Ansari: Lone Muslim face in Yogi Govt.; know more about him

New Delhi: 32-year-old, Danish Azad Ansari’s inclusion as a minister in yogi Adityanath has come as a surprise. Ansari is from eastern Ballia.

As per the report of Time of India, Ansari was one of the ministers named in the Adityanath government at a mega event in Lucknow where Prime Minister Narendra Modi was also present.

Since 2011 in his student days, Ansari has been associated with BJP and its student wing, the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP).

Ansari pursued Bachelors of Commerce from Lucknow University. Then he did Masters in Public Administration. He is also said to have completed Masters in Quality Management.

While he was made a member of the Fakhruddin Ali Ahmad Memorial Committee of the UP government in 2018, Ansari has also been a member of the state’s Urdu language council. He has also worked in the BJP’s minority morcha.

Though the BJP did not field any Muslim candidate for the state assembly polls in 2022 as it did in 2017, after a resounding victory, the party announced a new list of council of ministers led by chief minister Adityanath.

This time BJP decided to go for a much younger face providing Ansari with the opportunity, where as in the previous government, Mohsin Reza was the sole Muslim minister in the UP government.
