Discipline or discrimination? Watch Muslim teachers, students forced to remove hijab

The real motive behind it seems to be nothing but Islamophobia and discrimination on the basis of attire.

Hyderabad: Even though the hijab issue which has been raked up in some educational institutions of Karnataka is being raised in the name of discipline and uniformity, the real motive behind it seems to be nothing but Islamophobia and discrimination on the basis of attire.

A twitter user by name Imran Khan has shared a video of Muslim teachers asked to remove ‘burqa’ before entering the school.

He writes: “Mandya dist administration has instructed even the teachers to be not allowed inside campus with #hijab. They should remove the hijab at the gate itself before entering school or college.”

Similarly, another Twitter user Ashok Swain has called it just a way to humiliate Indian Muslims and to make them feel that they are second class citizens.

Sharing a video on his Twitter handle which shows little girls stopped from entering the school on account of wearing hijab, he writes: “This not about school uniform in India. It is just to publicly humiliate India’s Muslims from their childhood and make them every way second-class citizens.”
