Govt diluted Akbaruddin’s case, Bandi Sanjay demands appeal against acquittal
He said the acquittal of Owaisi was a classic example that the TRS, Congress and the AIMIM parties were secret partners in the State.
Hyderabad: State BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar today alleged that the State government had deliberately diluted the two hate speech cases filed against AIMIM floor leader in the Assembly Akbaruddin Owaisi in 2012.
He said the acquittal of Owaisi was a classic example that the TRS, Congress and the AIMIM parties were secret partners in the State.
In a statement today, Bandi Sanjay demanded that the State government appeal against the acquittal order of the Special Court for MLAs and the MPs. He said the people would teach a befitting lesson to the Congress, TRS and the AIMIM parties.
He said he was shocked to learn about the acquittal of Akbaruddin, who made provocative speeches. He made it clear that they were not casting any aspersions against the orders of the Special court and said the State government had failed to submit requisite proofs to the court for conviction of Akbaruddin Owaisi.
He said it was a habit for the MIM to move around the ruling political parties.
