Hajj camp begins; First flight of Hajj pilgrims to take off on this date
This year, as many as 3,000 pilgrims from the twin states Telangana and Andhra Pradesh are scheduled to leave for the Holy Pilgrimage from Hyderabad Hajj Camp.
Hyderabad: Hajj Committee is gearing up for the smooth and safe departure of the Hajj pilgrims for Hajj 2022. The Hajj Camp commenced from Friday with the pilgrims of the first flight undergoing RT-PCR test. The first flight of Hajj pilgrims is scheduled to take off on June 20.
The RT-PCR test for Covid-19 was inaugurated by the Telangana State Hajj Committee Chairman Mohammed Saleem at Hajj House, Nampally on June 17. Pilgrims who tested negative were allowed to book their respective flights, whereas those who tested positive will be quarantined in the Hajj House itself and will be allowed to confirm their booking after testing negative. Eight chartered flights of Saudi Airlines have been arranged to carry the pilgrims.
