Hyderabad: Adulterated ginger-garlic paste manufacturing racket busted

Hyderabad: Commissioner’s Task Force Central Zone Team arrested two persons on the charges of preparing adulterated ginger-garlic paste.

The accused have been identified as 38-year-old Mohammad Zafar Alam, resident of Mallepally, Asif Nagar and 50-year-old Somnath Chetty, resident of Malakunta, Gosha Mahal.

650 kilos of ginger-garlic paste worth Rs. 5 lakh was seized from the possession of the accused. The accused allegedly intended to sell duplicate ginger-garlic paste of ‘Sahara India’.

The raid was conducted in Begum Bazar on Friday. The seized material along with the accused were handed over to Begum Bazar police for further action.

Inspector Task Force R Raghunath (Central Zone), Sub Inspector S Sai Kiran under the supervision of DCP P Radha Kishan Rao conducted the raid.
