Hyderabad SHE Teams Secure Conviction in Two Harassment Cases, Fines Imposed by Nampally Court

Hyderabad SHE Teams secured conviction in two harassment cases. One accused got 2 days SI and ₹1,050 fine while another was fined ₹3,350 by Nampally Court.

Hyderabad: Hyderabad SHE Teams, functioning under the supervision of V. C. Sajjanar, continued their efforts to ensure the safety and dignity of women and girls across Hyderabad city and secured conviction and fines in two harassment cases during the current month. The accused persons were produced before the Hon’ble XI Special Judicial Magistrate Court, Nampally, Hyderabad, where one accused was convicted for two days simple imprisonment (SI) and fined ₹1,050, while another accused was fined ₹3,350.

Hyderabad SHE Teams Take Action on Harassment Complaints

According to the press note issued on May 19, 2026, Hyderabad SHE Teams actively took up complaints received through WhatsApp, direct petitions and social media platforms.

Police said one accused person harassed a woman through repeated phone calls, causing mental distress and inconvenience to the victim. Another accused was allegedly blackmailing a woman with private photographs after she ended her relationship with him upon learning that he was already married.

Accused Convicted by Nampally Court

The first accused was identified as:

  • Omer Bin Ahmed Dayini, son of Ahmed Bin Ghaleb Dayini
  • Age: 29 years
  • Occupation: Driver
  • Resident of H No. 10-20, Bismilla Colony, Balapur
  • Phone Number: 9553720074

Police stated that he had been calling the victim from random numbers and abusing her. A petty case was registered against him under Section 292 BNS and Section 70(c) of the Hyderabad City Police Act. He was convicted with two days SI and fined ₹1,050.

The second accused was identified as:

  • Cheetharambil Vaisakh, son of Ashok Kumar
  • Age: 38 years
  • Occupation: Private Employee
  • Resident of Khairthabad
  • Phone Number: 9966412916

Police said he blackmailed the complainant with private photos after she ended her relationship with him upon discovering he was married. A petty case was registered under Section 292 BNS and Section 70(c) of the Hyderabad City Police Act. He was fined ₹3,350.

Hyderabad SHE Teams appealed to women and girls to report incidents of:

  • Online harassment
  • Stalking
  • Blackmail
  • Obscene communication

through the SHE Teams helpline or official social media platforms.

Police warned that strict legal action would be taken against offenders involved in harassment of women in any form.

  • Beware of fake profiles created by fraudsters to gain trust and exploit victims.
  • Avoid oversharing personal information on social media.
  • Use strong and unique passwords and enable two-factor authentication.
  • Victims should not suffer in silence and must come forward to complain.

Police stated that harassment thrives when victims remain silent and said SHE Teams ensure confidentiality, quick action and legal support.
