Hyderabad to Get 1 Lakh LIG Houses: P Srinivas Reddy, Owaisi and Azharuddin Inspect Housing Locations in Nampally and Karwan
Telangana Government has launched plans to construct 1 lakh LIG houses in Hyderabad. Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy inspected housing sites along with Asaduddin Owaisi and Azaruddin.

The Telangana Government has taken a major step towards fulfilling the dream of providing own houses to the poor by launching the process for the construction of 1 lakh LIG (Low Income Group) houses in Hyderabad.

State Revenue and Housing Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy stated that the government has initiated plans for constructing 1 lakh LIG houses in Hyderabad city in the first phase.
Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, Azaruddin and Asaduddin Owaisi Inspect Housing Sites
On Wednesday, Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, along with Azaruddin and Asaduddin Owaisi, inspected suitable locations for the construction of LIG houses in the constituencies of:
- Nampally
- Malakpet
- Bahadurpura
The leaders visited and inspected several areas as part of the housing project survey.
Government Buildings in Dilapidated Condition Also Inspected
During the visit, the team also inspected dilapidated government buildings in:
- KulsumPura
- Afzal Sagar
- Kaladera
- Gaddiannaram
Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy stated that the government’s objective is to utilize unused government lands and buildings according to public needs and provide housing facilities for the poor.
Government Committed to Better Living Facilities: Minister
The minister said that under the leadership of A. Revanth Reddy, the government is committed to providing better living facilities to the people.
He stated that the LIG housing construction program is being accelerated to reduce housing problems in the city and provide respectable housing facilities to poor and middle-class families.
Officials Working on Land Identification and Infrastructure
Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy revealed that officials are taking steps regarding identification of required land, planning, and provision of infrastructure facilities with a target of constructing 1 lakh houses in the first phase.
The government is reportedly focusing on speedy execution of the housing initiative in Hyderabad.
