Is Amir Khan next target after Shahrukh Khan?
People are reacting in such a way that this advertisement may have been produced by Amir Khan himself. Although the ad belongs to a company that makes tyres, people targets Amir Khan more than the advertising agency and the company on Twitter and Facebook sharing various memes.
Hyderabad: Karnataka BJP leader Anant Hegde is second to none in raising controversy over trivial matters. It would be ok if we call him Sangeet Som of South India because Sangeet Som is also a BJP leader who specializes in giving a communal color to trivial matters. Who doesn’t know about the politics at the Taj Mahal. It was started by Sangeet Som. He said that kaisa itihas, kahan ka itihas (what kind of history and which history).
He was speaking at a time when Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, as soon as he took over the government in Uttar Pradesh, removed the world famous symbol of love and one of the Seven Wonders of the World Taj Mahal from the Uttar Pradesh government’s tourism brochure. When there was uproar over this, Sangeet Som, an MLA from Sardhana constituency in Meerut, addressing a rally, said that the Taj Mahal was a disgrace in the history of India.
Sangeet Som also said that the builder of the Taj Mahal had imprisoned his father and had worked to cleanse the Hindus from Uttar Pradesh. Everyone knows that what Sangeet Som was saying is a myth and these myths do not change history. It all happened in October 2017.
It is obvious that the politics of the BJP revolves around religion. Therefore, the leaders of this party have been trained to take a point out of each and every issue that creates sectarian and communal tension. Something should be said to widen the gap between Hindus and Muslims and to make Hindus feel that Muslims have ruled this country for 1200 years and kept Hindus enslaved and now if Hindus are not united then in India again, a Muslim government/khilafat will be established.
To perpetuate the same thing, BJP leaders keep coming up with a new point every day. This did not happen before 2014. Ever since Modi took over the government in the country, he has ensured that sectarian tensions remain and his government continues to take arbitrary steps.
The latest incident is of an advertisement of Amir Khan. On this advertisement, Amir Khan is being targeted on social media in such a way that Amir himself has produced this advertisement. However, this advertisement belongs to CEAT, a company which manufactures tyres in which Amir Khan has acted.
He only says in the advertisement not to light firecrackers on the streets and roads on Diwali. Roads are for cars. The poisonous and sectarian leaders of the BJP just got a point and Karnataka state minister Anant Hegde objected to it and made it a Hindu-Muslim issue.
And the people belong to a particular thinking became active on Facebook and Twitter, two major social media platforms, and began comparing burning firecrackers on roads to namaz. One says Aamir should also make an advertisement on the Namaz on roads. Another asks if Amir is still in India. He was saying that intolerance has increased in the country and he is thinking of moving abroad with his wife.
The third says that Amir Khan is an anti-Hindu actor and even knowing this, Ceat Company signed him for the advertisement. There have been a flurry of tweets against the company and Amir Khan on Twitter, and they are reminding people that not only Ceat Company but also companies like Manyawar and Tata Cliq are also anti-Hindu. They are appealing to the people to boycott the products of these companies.
It has become a trend. The RSS and the BJP do not want peace and tranquility in the country. Its leaders, under one pretext or another, continue to fuel the communal agenda in the country. Just a few days ago, Tejasvi Surya, a BJP leader from Karnataka, targeted an advertisement for FabIndia.
The ad was related to Diwali shopping. In this advertisement, Urdu words Jashn and Riwaz (actually it is Riwaj not Riwaz) were used. Tejasvi Surya also saw communal angle in it and tweeted that FabIndia is deliberately attempting to abrahamisation of Hindu festivals. They will have to pay the price. With this tweet, the BJP’s IT cell came into action their followers started the Boycott FabIndia campaign on social media. Eventually, FabIndia had to remove the ad.
This begs the question: what is wrong with the BJP using Urdu words like Jashn and Riwaz? Urdu language is spoken in every corner of the country and without Urdu words, Bollywood movies cannot be imagined. TV serials use a lot of Urdu words and it is called Hindi. If they hate Urdu so much they must not use Urdu words in their conversation and daily affairs and use Hindi and Sanskrit words instead then see what TRP of movies and TV serials says?
