Hyderabad: The class differences between the BRS leaders have come to light at the Telangana Bhavan. The review of the Chevella parliamentary constituency meeting on Friday led to a ruckus.
MLC Patnam Mahender Reddy’s faction has objected to former MLA Pilot Rohit Reddy being made to sit on the dais. She insisted on getting off the stage. There was a slight tension in the process.
It is known that the BRS high command is conducting a series of review meetings at Telangana Bhavan in the run-up to the general elections. A preparatory meeting was held on Friday. Former minister Mahender Reddy’s family members objected to Rohit Reddy’s presence on the dais at that time.
They shouted slogans asking Rohit to get down. However, the lunch break was announced. The situation stopped without further ado.
Former minister Harish Rao and other seniors participated in the preparatory meeting for the election of Chevella parliamentary constituency. It is learnt that Harish Rao called Mahender Reddy and pilot Rohit after a scuffle broke out in front of him.
The reason why the Chevella review became tense was due to the slogans raised by the patnam community. They said that the party’s defeat was due to non-submission of such reviews.
“If we had conducted such a review earlier, we would have done well in the assembly elections,” he said. With this, the situation led to minor tension after the Pilot faction objected to it.
