Muslims furious over film poster with Kalima-e-tayyaba
A memorandum demanding action against film director and ban on film has been submitted
Hyderabad: Posters of a film named FIR were put up on walls for publicity on which had Kalima-e-Tayyaba clearly written on them which sparked a row and anger among Muslims of Telangana.
An all-party delegation met district collector and district superintendent of police in Nirmal and submitted a memorandum demanding action against film director and ban on film.
The members of the delegation said that it is shameful to note that films are made in a way that they hurt religious sentiments. They said Muslims’ sacred kalima has been desecrated by writing it on film poster.
President Jamiatul Ulama Nirmal, Mufti Syed Kaleemuddin Qasmi president Majlis Ittehaadul Muslimeen Nirmal Azeem bin Yahya, Mufti Abdul Aleem Faisal Qasmi, general secretary Jamiat Ulama Nirmal along with scores of young men protested against the film.
Protest was also held in Tandur, Viqarabad, where after timely representation police removed the posters from the walls.
