Mystery of missing newborn twins solved; strangled by mother
The mother, Sapna Dhakad, (27) told the police that she was afraid they couldn't feed two more mouths as her husband is jobless and an alcoholic.
Bhopal: Habibganj police solved the mystery of the missing newborn twins on Tuesday. However, the end turned out to be more tragic than the mystery. It was found that the mother who gave birth to the twins herself strangled the 16-day-old baby boys and dumped their bodies in some bushes.
The mother, Sapna Dhakad, (27) told the police that she was afraid they couldn’t feed two more mouths as her husband is jobless and an alcoholic. They already have a three-year-old daughter.
Four days ago she had told the police that the twins went missing on September 23 when she left them on the pavement to go to a public toilet.
However, after a frantic search by the cops the babies’ bodies were found after the mother led cops to the dump site in Ravi Shankar Nagar. TT Nagar SHO Chain Singh Raghuvanshi gently coaxed Sapna into revealing the terrible truth.
The mother was taken into custody.
