‘Real Telangana’ formed now: MLC Jeevan Reddy
Congress MLC T. Jeevan Reddy today said with the return of the Congress government, the Real Telangana State has come into existence.
Hyderabad: Congress MLC T. Jeevan Reddy today said with the return of the Congress government, the Real Telangana State has come into existence. He said Telangana State’s debt had crossed Rs 6 lakh crore under the BRS party’s rule.
He said there were technical snags in the construction of the Medigadda barrage of Kaleswaram lift irrigation project. He recalled that the Union Jal Shakti Ministry had said there were structural defects in the project.
Stating that former CM KCR was responsible for the project, he said the Centre had said that the project did not even have CWC’s approval.
He said the State government should conduct a judicial inquiry into the irregularities in the Medigadda project. He also sought legal action against those responsible for the failure of the project.
He urged the government to construct a barrage at Tummadi Hatti as there was an agreement with Maharashtra.
He also said it was heartening to note that the cabinet had decided to implement the six guarantees given to the people and added that the decision to implement the free travel for women from their party leader Sonia Gandhi’s birthday had been taken by their government.
