A Revanth Reddy announced that the Telangana government will support retrofitting of autos into electric vehicles (EVs) in Hyderabad to make the city pollution-free. Speaking at a programme held at Haj House, the Chief Minister also announced that the state government will bear the additional Haj travel burden imposed on around 7,000 pilgrims due to increased petrol prices linked to the Iran war.

Telangana Government Plans EV Retrofit for Autos in Hyderabad
CM Revanth Reddy said the Telangana government is holding discussions with five companies to retrofit autos in Hyderabad into EV vehicles using government funds.
He stated that the initiative would initially focus on autos operating in the core urban region of Hyderabad.
The Chief Minister said the move aims to transform Hyderabad into a pollution-free city.
CM Flags Off Haj Pilgrims’ Buses at Hyderabad Haj House
During the programme at Haj House, the Chief Minister flagged off buses for Haj pilgrims departing for the pilgrimage.

Telangana Govt to Pay Extra Haj Charges for 7,000 Pilgrims
Speaking at the gathering, CM Revanth Reddy said Haj pilgrims were burdened with an additional charge of Rs 10,000 per person due to increased petrol prices following the Iran war.
He said many pilgrims were unable to bear the last-minute additional expenses.
The Chief Minister announced that the Telangana government has decided to bear the additional burden for around 7,000 Haj pilgrims.
CM Recalls Last Year’s Haj Bus Accident
The Chief Minister recalled last year’s Haj pilgrimage bus accident in which 44 people lost their lives.
He said the Telangana government had provided compensation of Rs 5 lakh each to the affected families to support them during their difficult time.
CM Says Hindus and Muslims Are Like “Two Eyes”
During his speech, CM Revanth Reddy said Hindus and Muslims are like his “two eyes” and described both communities as brothers.
He appealed to all communities to move forward together for the development of Telangana.
The Chief Minister said the government is ensuring minority participation in welfare and development programmes and assured that minorities would receive welfare schemes proportionate to their population.
CM Highlights Skill Development and Global Job Opportunities
The Chief Minister also spoke about the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on white-collar jobs.
He said students should focus on skill development and blue-collar employment opportunities.
CM Revanth Reddy encouraged students to make use of opportunities in:
- ATC Centers
- Polytechnic Colleges
- Skills Universities
He added that countries such as:
- United States
- Middle East nations
- Japan
- Germany
- South Korea
offer large employment opportunities for skilled youth.
Telangana Govt Assures Support for Minority Welfare
The Chief Minister said the Telangana government is always ready to resolve issues faced by minorities and assured that the government would stand with minorities whenever needed.
He said many people dream of performing Haj at least once in their lifetime and requested Haj pilgrims to pray for the welfare and development of Telangana during their pilgrimage.
The Chief Minister extended heartfelt wishes to all Haj pilgrims.
