Seer proposes to declare Moon a Hindu Rashtra, prevent ‘jihadis’ from reaching there_video
Following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s announcement that the area on the Moon where the Chandrayaan-3 lander Vikram softly landed will be named ‘Shiv Shakti’ and the site where Chandrayaan-2 crash-landed will be called ‘Tiranga’, Swami Chakrapani Maharaj, the national president of All India Hindu Mahasabha, shared a video on X (formerly known as Twitter). In the video, he urged the Indian government to act swiftly to prevent terrorists from reaching the Moon.
Swami Chakrapani Maharaj proposed that the Moon should be declared a Hindu Sanatan Rashtra by Parliament, with the capital being the Shiv Shakti Point at the Chandrayaan-3 landing site, aiming to prevent individuals with a “Jihadi mentality” from accessing it.
This announcement sparked a political dispute between the BJP and Congress. Congress leader Rashid Alvi criticized Modi’s naming of the lunar surface, deeming it absurd and asserting that Modi lacked the authority to name it. In response, Shehzad Poonawalla from the BJP accused Congress of displaying an “anti-Hindu” stance.
The chief of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), S Somanath, expressed that there was no need for controversy regarding the naming. Somanath clarified that the name ‘Shiv Shakti’ was explained by the honorable prime minister as a representation of the synergy between men and women, highlighting the contributions of women in ISRO. He emphasized that both ‘Shiv Shakti’ and ‘Tiranga’ are names with an Indian resonance, and the prime minister holds the prerogative to name these sites as the leader of the country.
