Six killed, 10 injured as lorry collides with autorickshaw in AP

Hyderabad: Six persons were killed and 10 others injured when a lorry collided with an autorickshaw in Pondugula, Dachepalli Mandal, Palnadu district of Andhra Pradesh in the early hours of Wednesday.

Hyderabad: Six persons were killed and 10 others injured when a lorry collided with an autorickshaw in Pondugula, Dachepalli Mandal, Palnadu district of Andhra Pradesh in the early hours of Wednesday.

The accident occurred as the occupants, mostly laborers, were traveling from Narasapuram village, Damacherla Mandal in Nalgonda district of Telangana to Pulipadu, Gurujala Mandal in Palnadu district of Andhra Pradesh, according to the police.

Five individuals were pronounced dead at the scene, while another succumbed to injuries en route to the hospital.

The injured have been admitted to the Government Hospital in Gurazala for treatment.

A case has been registered, and an investigation is currently underway, added the police.
