Stray Dog Attack Leaves Six-Year-Old Critically Injured in Hyderabad; CCTV footage goes viral

Hyderabad: In Nandi Musalaiguda, Hyderabad, a stray dog critically injured a six-year-old boy on Sunday.

The incident, captured on CCTV and widely shared on social media, showed the aggressive dog overpowering the boy. Neighbours rushed to help, shooed away the dog, and admitted the boy to Niloufer Hospital.

Dr Ram Subba Reddy stated that the boy, initially critical, is recovering well after suturing and is expected to fully recover in less than a week.

The incident has sparked renewed concerns about the rising frequency of stray dog attacks, prompting residents to call for effective measures from authorities to ensure public safety.

While no formal complaint was lodged, GHMC authorities cleared strays from the area following the incident, as reported by Bahadurpura police station house officer Anil Kumar.
