Telangana CEO Reviews SIR Process, Directs Transparent and Error-Free Voter List Revision in Hyderabad
Telangana CEO C. Sudharsan Reddy reviewed the SIR process in Hyderabad and directed officials to ensure transparent and error-free voter list revision across the city.

Hyderabad: C. Sudharsan Reddy conducted a high-level review meeting on the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) programme in Hyderabad and directed officials to ensure that every eligible voter is included and every ineligible voter is removed from the voter list. The Chief Electoral Officer emphasized that the SIR process must be conducted in a transparent and error-free manner.

High-Level SIR Review Meeting Held at BRKR Building
The review meeting on the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) programme was held on Tuesday at the BRKR Building, Hyderabad.
The meeting was attended by:
- Additional Chief Electoral Officer Dr. Vasam Venkateswar Reddy
- Dy. CEO (FAC) G.S. Chary
- R. V. Karnan, Commissioner of GHMC and District Election Officer (DEO) of Hyderabad District
- M. Manu Choudary, Collector and District Election Officer of Medchal-Malkajgiri district
- Concerned Electoral Registration Officers (EROs)
CEO Directs Transparent and Error-Free Voter List Revision
During the meeting, CEO C. Sudharsan Reddy instructed officials to ensure inclusion of all eligible voters and removal of all ineligible voters from electoral rolls.
He stressed that the SIR programme should be implemented in a highly transparent and error-free manner.
EROs Asked to Train Booth Level Officers
The CEO directed Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) to provide adequate training to Booth Level Officers (BLOs), stating that BLOs play a crucial role in the entire SIR process.
Officials were instructed to continuously review the quality of work carried out by BLOs and provide additional handholding support wherever required to speed up the mapping process.
Focus on High-Rise Buildings, Gated Communities and Slum Areas
The CEO instructed EROs to focus particularly on:
- High-rise buildings
- Gated communities
Officials were also directed to create awareness regarding the importance of the SIR process in urban areas.
Extensive awareness programmes were ordered to be conducted in urban pockets with special focus on slum areas.
Enumeration Forms to Be Available in English and Telugu
To facilitate the process, officials stated that enumeration forms would be made available in both:
- English
- Telugu
The CEO also directed officials to ensure that VIP and VVIP voters are properly mapped during the process.
‘Best BLO Award’ Announced
To motivate ground-level staff involved in the Special Intensive Revision programme, CEO C. Sudharsan Reddy announced a “Best BLO Award” for the top-performing Booth Level Officer.
