Telangana: Gurukul school student’s death raises suspicion
A 17-year-old girl student of a Gurukul School died under suspicious circumstances at Imampet in the district on Saturday night, police said.
Suryapet: A 17-year-old girl student of a Gurukul School died under suspicious circumstances at Imampet in the district on Saturday night, police said.
According to the police, the girl student from Indiramma Colony in Suryapet town was pursuing a second-year Intermediate course at Gurukul School, Imampet.
On Saturday evening, she participated in the freshers’ day celebrations. Around 10 pm, the hostel warden called the girl’s parents, informing them of her deteriorating health and urging them to come to the government hospital in Suryapet.
Moments later, they were notified that their daughter’s condition had worsened, and upon reaching the hospital, they received the news of her death.
The parents said they had a video call with their daughter during the freshers’ day celebrations, just minutes before the warden’s call. They expressed suspicion regarding the attempt to portray their daughter’s death as a suicide.
A case has been registered, and an investigation is currently underway, police said.
