Telangana police bust notorious ransom kidnap gang

Hyderabad: The Raidurgam Police under the Cyberabad Police Commissionerate in Telangana successfully apprehended a notorious ransom kidnap gang involved in 23 cases across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
Police seized two cars, two two-wheelers and seven cell phones from their possession.
The gang consisting of seven members including two absconding, known for conspiring with close associates of hostages and demanding substantial amounts, was busted during a recent operation, a police statement said on Sunday.

The victim was forcefully taken from Khajaguda Lake Road, and the gang demanded a ransom. Police tracking forced the accused to flee, abandoning the victim and the vehicle.
Acting on credible information, Raidurgam Police apprehended the accused on Saturday, leading to their confession of guilt during interrogation., the statement added.
