Hyderabad: In a devastating incident last week, three Indian-origin students lost their lives, and two others were injured in a car crash in Alpharetta, Georgia. The tragic accident occurred on May 14, and police suspect that speed was a contributing factor.

The vehicle, carrying five 18-year-old students from Alpharetta High School and the University of Georgia, overturned and ended up upside down in a tree line after the driver lost control.

Aryan Joshi and Sriya Avasarala were pronounced dead at the scene, while Anvi Sharma succumbed to her injuries at the hospital. The two injured students, Rithwak Somepalli and Mohammed Liyakath, are currently receiving treatment at North Fulton Hospital in Alpharetta.

Authorities are investigating the incident further to determine the exact cause of the crash. The community mourns the loss of these young lives, and support is being offered to the families affected by this tragic event.
