TMC Leader Gunned Down Enroute to Mosque for Prayer

In a grim turn of events, violence erupted in Joynagar, South 24 Parganas, West Bengal, following the murder of local Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Saifuddin Laskar. The incident occurred in the early hours of Monday morning as Laskar was en route to a local mosque for prayers when he was fatally shot by miscreants on two motorcycles at close range.

Retaliation Escalates:
The aftermath saw a surge in violence as houses belonging to supporters of the Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) were set ablaze. Locals at the crime scene managed to apprehend the two miscreants involved in the shooting. Family members of the deceased pointed fingers at CPI(M) supporters, alleging their involvement in the murder.

Retribution and Accusations:
Within hours of Laskar’s murder, enraged villagers retaliated by setting several houses of CPI(M) supporters on fire. Trinamool supporters reportedly obstructed firefighters, looted belongings, and intensified the inferno, resulting in the destruction of more than a dozen houses.

Political Conspiracy Claims:
Trinamool Congress leader and Canning Purba MLA Saukat Mollah asserted that Laskar’s murder was a conspiracy orchestrated by the leadership of both CPI(M) and the BJP.
