A hearing on the renaming of Aurangabad city as Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar was held in Bombay High Court, which has posted the next hearing on October 12.

Mumbai: A hearing on the renaming of Aurangabad city as Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar was held in Bombay High Court, which has posted the next hearing on October 12.

This information has been given by the petitioner Mohammad Hisham Osmani on Friday.

Last time, a hearing was held on the name change of Aurangabad division, district and taluka but the court has reserved the verdict on the same.

While, on Friday, the hearing was held on the name change of Aurangabad city and Osmanabad city, which have respectively been renamed as Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and Dharashiv by the government.
