Konda Surekha Clarifies Remarks Made at Warangal Rythu Mega Mela, Accuses Centre of Discrimination

Telangana Minister Konda Surekha clarified her remarks made at the Warangal Rythu Mega Mela and accused the Centre of discriminating against Telangana in temple funding.

Konda Surekha clarified that her comments made during the Rythu Mega Mela held in Warangal were being allegedly distorted by some groups. The Minister stated that her remarks were intended to question the Central Government and BJP leadership over alleged discrimination against Telangana in allocating funds for temple development.

Konda Surekha Says Remarks Were Misrepresented

In her statement, Konda Surekha said some people were spreading distorted interpretations of the comments she made during the farmers’ mega event organised in Warangal.

She clarified that the original intention of her remarks was to question the alleged neglect shown by the Central Government towards temple development in Telangana.

Telangana Government Working for Temple Development

The Minister stated that under the guidance of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, she has been working with full commitment as Endowments Minister for the development of temples across Telangana.

According to her statement, the Telangana Government has allocated thousands of crores of rupees for temple development activities in the state.

She said the government is making continuous efforts to strengthen temple infrastructure and support religious institutions.

Minister Alleges Discrimination in Central Funding

Konda Surekha alleged that the Central Government was allocating funds to temples in other states while neglecting Telangana.

She stated that her comments were specifically aimed at questioning both the Central Government and the BJP leadership in Telangana over the issue.

According to the Minister, the alleged discrimination against Telangana in temple funding was the core reason behind her remarks at the Warangal event.
