Pet Basheerabad Police had registered a case against Bhageerath Sai on Friday under various sections of the POCSO Act.
According to allegations, during a New Year party held in the Moinabad area, Bhageerath Sai allegedly behaved inappropriately with a minor girl.
The victim girl and her parents lodged a complaint with the police alleging that Bhageerath Sai tried to force the girl to consume alcohol and behaved indecently with her.
Women’s Groups Demand Immediate Arrest
In connection with the case, women’s organizations and a large number of local women gathered at the police station on Sunday and demanded immediate action.
The protesters alleged that if an ordinary person had been accused in such a case, the arrest would have already taken place.
However, they claimed that police action was being delayed because the case involved the son of a Union Minister.
Women protesters demanded that Bhageerath Sai be immediately arrested, produced before the court, and dealt with according to the law.
