Patancheru Police Seize 400 Kg Ganja Worth Rs 2 Crore in Joint Operation, 7 Arrested

Patancheru police and Kukatpally SOT seized 400 kg ganja worth Rs 2 crore near ORR in Hyderabad. Seven accused were arrested while two suspects are absconding.

Hyderabad: Chintamaneni Srinivas said police seized 400 kilograms of ganja worth Rs 2 crore during a joint operation conducted by Kukatpally SOT and Patancheru police near the ORR in Patancheru. Police said the ganja was being transported from Malkangiri in Odisha to Solapur in Maharashtra. Seven accused persons were arrested in the case, while A1 Manisha Padwal and A2 Tribune Parari are absconding.

Kukatpally SOT and Patancheru Police Conduct Joint Operation

Sherilingampally Zone DCP Chintamaneni Srinivas said Kukatpally SOT and Patancheru police jointly carried out the operation against the ganja smuggling network.

Police intercepted the gang near the Outer Ring Road (ORR) at Patancheru while the contraband was being transported.

According to police, the ganja was being shifted from Malkangiri district in Odisha to Solapur in Maharashtra.

Police Identify Main Accused in Ganja Transportation Case

During the investigation, police identified that the ganja was being supplied to Manisha Padwal from Solapur in Maharashtra.

Police said the accused used multiple vehicles for the transportation operation.

According to DCP Chintamaneni Srinivas:

  • An Indica car was used as a pilot vehicle
  • An Ertiga car was used as an escort vehicle
  • The ganja was transported in a DCM vehicle

400 Kg Ganja Worth Rs 2 Crore Seized

Police seized:

  • 400 kilograms of ganja
  • One DCM vehicle
  • Two cars
  • Six mobile phones

The seized ganja is estimated to be worth Rs 2 crore.

Seven Arrested, Two Accused Absconding

Police said seven accused persons were arrested in connection with the ganja transportation case.

However:

  • A1 Manisha Padwal
  • A2 Tribune Parari

are currently absconding.

Police registered a case and said further investigation is underway.

Investigation Underway in Patancheru Ganja Case

Sherilingampally Zone DCP Chintamaneni Srinivas confirmed that a case has been registered and police are continuing the investigation into the interstate ganja smuggling network.

Police are also trying to trace the absconding accused involved in the transportation and supply chain.

Kukatpally SOT and Patancheru police seized 400 kilograms of ganja worth Rs 2 crore during a joint operation near the ORR in Patancheru, Hyderabad. Police said the ganja was being transported from Malkangiri in Odisha to Solapur in Maharashtra using a DCM vehicle along with escort cars. Seven accused have been arrested, while A1 Manisha Padwal and A2 Tribune Parari remain absconding as the investigation continues.
