Hyderabad: Bhatti Vikramarka said the Indiramma Praja Government is committed to improving the living conditions and standards of workers employed in various sectors across Telangana. Speaking at a Cabinet Sub-Committee meeting on minimum wage revision held on Monday at Mahatma Jyotirao Phule Praja Bhavan in Hyderabad, the Deputy Chief Minister said the government is planning scientific wage revisions based on rising living costs and workers’ actual needs.

Cabinet Sub-Committee Meeting on Minimum Wage Revision Held in Hyderabad
The Cabinet Sub-Committee meeting on revision of minimum wages was held on Monday at Mahatma Jyotirao Phule Praja Bhavan in Hyderabad.

Telangana Government Studying Wage Models of Other States
Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka said the Telangana government wants wage revision in the state to be scientific and practical.
During the meeting, the committee thoroughly examined minimum wage policies being implemented in other major states across the country.
The committee also held detailed discussions on the possible impact of the new Labour Code proposed to be introduced nationwide by the Central Government.
Wage Revision to Match Rising Cost of Living
The Cabinet Sub-Committee decided that workers’ wages should not be revised merely in terms of numbers but should reflect the real needs of workers.
The committee stated that wages must be aligned with rising prices and increasing living expenses.
The government also expressed its determination to implement some of the best wage models in the country in Telangana.
Government Focused on Welfare of Organised and Unorganised Workers
Bhatti Vikramarka said the government is taking steps to make Telangana a worker-friendly state.
He stated that opinions from all sections would soon be collected before taking a final decision on minimum wage revision aimed at benefiting workers.
The deputy Chief minister said the government’s decision would benefit lakhs of workers from both organised and unorganised sectors across Telangana.
