Telangana Targets $3 Trillion Economy by 2047, Bhatti Vikramarka Announces Bigger Interest-Free Loans for Women SHGs

Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka said Telangana aims to become a $3 trillion economy by 2047 and announced increase of women SHG interest-free loans to ₹10 lakh.

Hyderabad: Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka said the state government is giving top priority to welfare schemes, economic self-reliance, Future City construction, women empowerment, and Musi River rejuvenation.

The Deputy Chief Minister participated in the 49th State-Level Bankers’ Meeting held on Friday at Mahatma Jyotirao Phule Praja Bhavan.

Telangana Aiming for $3 Trillion Economy by 2047

Addressing the bankers’ meeting, Bhatti Vikramarka said the people’s government is determined to transform Telangana into a $3 trillion economy by 2047.

He stated that:

  • Total bank deposits in Telangana reached nearly ₹9.43 lakh crore
  • Total advances touched ₹12.34 lakh crore
  • Telangana achieved a Credit-Deposit ratio of 130.78%

The Deputy Chief Minister described the achievement as exceptional.

Telangana Growth Rate Higher Than National Average

The Deputy Chief Minister said Telangana’s growth rate is moving faster than the national average.

According to him:

  • National average growth rate: 8.2%
  • Telangana growth rate: 10.7%
  • National per capita income: ₹2.1 lakh
  • Telangana per capita income: ₹4.18 lakh

He said Telangana has emerged as one of the leading states in the country.

Banks Exceed Agricultural Loan Targets

Bhatti Vikramarka appreciated banks for exceeding agricultural loan targets.

He stated that:

  • Target for agricultural loans: ₹1,65,297 crore
  • Loans distributed: ₹1,68,401 crore
  • Achievement percentage: 101.88%

The Deputy Chief Minister said agriculture remains the backbone of Telangana’s economy.

He appreciated banks for supporting:

  • Farmers
  • Dairy farmers
  • Fishermen
  • Allied sectors

through various schemes including Kisan Credit Cards.

Deputy CM Urges More Loans for MSMEs and Entrepreneurs

The Deputy Chief Minister said Telangana is one of the fastest-growing industrial states in India.

He urged banks to focus more on providing loans to:

  • Micro industries
  • Small-scale industries
  • Women entrepreneurs
  • Dalit entrepreneurs
  • Tribal entrepreneurs

Educational Loans Are Future Investments

Bhatti Vikramarka asked banks to adopt a more positive approach towards student loans.

He said educational loans are investments in the future of youth.

The Deputy Chief Minister stated that the people’s government has proven that welfare and development can move together like twin engines.

He reiterated that the government remains committed to:

  • Inclusive development
  • Farmer welfare
  • Women empowerment
  • Employment generation

Telangana Focuses on Renewable Energy and Solar Projects

The Deputy Chief Minister said the world is now focusing on renewable energy.

He stated that the Telangana government is also making steady progress in the solar power sector.

He urged banks to actively support:

  • Solar power projects
  • Rooftop solar panel installations
  • Environment-friendly programmes

through loan assistance.

He also called for bringing people under social security and insurance schemes.

Banks Should Become Strategic Development Partners

Bhatti Vikramarka said banks should not function merely as financial institutions accepting deposits and issuing loans.

He urged banks to act as strategic partners in Telangana’s development.

According to him, public money reaches banks, and therefore banks must carefully decide which sectors should receive loans to boost:

  • State economic growth (GSDP)
  • Employment generation

Musi Rejuvenation, Future City and Regional Ring Road Key Priorities

The Deputy Chief Minister said the Telangana government is rapidly moving ahead with:

  • Musi River rejuvenation
  • Future City construction
  • Regional Ring Road development

He also noted that rapid urbanisation in Telangana is creating huge opportunities in the services sector.

Interest-Free Loans for Women SHGs Increased to ₹10 Lakh

In a major announcement, Bhatti Vikramarka said interest-free loans for women self-help groups in Telangana are being increased from ₹5 lakh to ₹10 lakh.

He stated that the government has decided to focus on large-scale loan distribution to women’s groups in Hyderabad city during this year.

The Deputy Chief Minister said Hyderabad offers many opportunities for women in:

  • Business sector
  • Small industries
  • Medium industries

He asked officials to pay special attention to young women entrepreneurs living in slum areas.

Telangana to Develop Multiple Industrial Hubs

The Deputy Chief Minister revealed that several industrial hubs and clusters will soon be developed in Telangana.

He said the government is designing industrial ecosystems in sectors including:

  • Pharma
  • Fab City
  • Steel
  • Leather
  • Textile

The objective, according to him, is to attract national and international investments into Telangana.

At the 49th State-Level Bankers’ Meeting in Hyderabad, Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka announced that the state aims to become a $3 trillion economy by 2047. He highlighted Telangana’s 10.7 percent growth rate, increase in women SHG interest-free loans from ₹5 lakh to ₹10 lakh, expansion of renewable energy projects, Musi rejuvenation, Future City construction, and the government’s focus on welfare and development as twin engines of growth.
