Weather Systems Affecting Telangana
The Hyderabad Meteorological Department said that the trough extending from Marathwada to the southwest Arabian Sea across Konkan and Goa at 5.8 km above mean sea level has weakened.
Another trough located over South Telangana and adjoining Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam at 3.1 km above mean sea level also weakened at 5:30 am on Friday.
Despite the weakening of these systems, moisture associated with the advancing southwest monsoon is expected to bring rainfall activity across the state.

Under the influence of the southwest monsoon, light to moderate rainfall is likely at most places in most districts of Telangana today, tomorrow, and the day after tomorrow.
The Meteorological Department has also forecast:
- Heavy rainfall at isolated places in some districts today and tomorrow.
- Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning in isolated areas.
- Strong winds with speeds of 40-50 kmph in some districts today, tomorrow, and the following day.

The Hyderabad Meteorological Department has predicted that maximum temperatures across Telangana are likely to decrease gradually by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius over the next four days.
