RTO Special Inspections on School and College Buses; 6 Buses Fined for Violating Fire Safety Norms

Ranga Reddy RTO officials conducted special inspections of school and college buses at Langer House, Hyderabad. Around 50 to 60 buses were checked, and six buses were fined for violating fire safety norms.

In a special drive aimed at ensuring student safety, officials of the Ranga Reddy Regional Transport Office (RTO) conducted special inspections of school and college buses at Tipu Khan Pool, Langer House, Hyderabad. During the inspections, officials checked whether buses had valid fitness certificates, fire safety equipment, and first aid boxes.

The officials also verified whether bus drivers possessed valid driving licences. They stated that educational institution managements have been instructed not to allow drivers above 60 years of age to operate school and college buses.

School Bus Safety Inspections Conducted by Three Teams

According to officials, the inspection drive was carried out from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM. The operation was conducted by dividing the staff into three teams, which carried out inspections in different areas.

As part of the special drive, officials inspected approximately 50 to 60 school and college buses.

Six Buses Penalised for Fire Safety Violations

Officials revealed that six buses were issued challans for failing to comply with fire safety regulations. The inspections focused on ensuring that all safety measures required for student transportation were being followed.

Student Safety Top Priority, Inspections to Continue for One More Week

Speaking about the special drive, Avinash Chauhan, Motor Vehicle Inspector, said that student safety is being given the highest priority and that these special inspections will continue for another week.
